This charming hummingbird, with brightly colored eyes of cut crystal, is a lovely Christmas tree ornament or can be displayed all year long as a window decoration and suncatcher. Weight being a primary concern, I make the hummingbird of lightweight borosilicate crystal. The brilliant rainbow of colors is created when I apply pure gold to the glass while it is still molten. Hummingbird measures 3 inches long and 2 inches tall. Figurine hangs from a shimmering metallic gold thread and a lovely information card trimmed in gold foil is included with your purchase. Christmas ornaments are one of my specialties and during the Reagan administration I was asked to create an assortment of one-of-a-kind ornaments that represented the state of California at the White House.
