Hand blown glass horse rearing up on its hind legs is a stunning work of art worthy of the finest collections. Kevin Prochaska, Disneyland glass blower for 10 years is the artist. Horse makes a wonderful award or trophy as well.
Whether they are draft, English hunter jumpers, or western trail, horses have always been a part of my life. From a young age, I would spend hours studying the conformations of the different breeds and make sketches of their many variations. I was delighted when my daughter’s interest mirrored my own and we spent many hours together at the local stables. I hope that my appreciation of the graceful form of the equine athlete is apparent in this elegant glass sculpture. The unusual details of the mane, tail and fetlocks are all created by hundreds of air bubbles that I purposely fold into the molten glass and then stretch into the hair like form. Figurine measures approximately 7 inches long, 7 inches tall and I make it entirely by hand of borosilicate crystal. I have personally signed the sculpture and I pack it very well so that it arrives safely at its new home. Serious collectors will especially appreciate the design. Be sure to visit my profile for more information about my 35 years of glass blowing experience as I want you to feel confident about your purchase. I hope you will enjoy this work of art and the memories it represents for many years to come. Rearing Crystal Horse retails at Specialty Shops for $275.00.
