Hand blown glass stork and baby figurine is a delightful collectible crystal sculpture and makes a wonderful gift. Artist is Kevin Prochaska, Disneyland glass blower for 10 years.

Where did I come from?  For generations of parents the stork provided the answer yet no one knows exactly how this tale started. Perhaps it began because of the stork’s habit to nest atop chimneys, down which a newborn could be brought into the house or because it has long been a messenger of happiness and prosperity.  No matter, since this delightful tale is firmly etched in our popular culture and so I present my own colorful portrayal that I sculpt from borosilicate crystal and color using only pure gold. Hanging from the stork’s beak is a sling that carries a newborn baby whose toes and tiny feet are visible from one side. Turn the piece around and its little nose peeks out from the warmth of its cap, necessary for the long journey. Measuring approximately 7 inches in height and 4 inches long, this blown glass figurine is made entirely by hand and the rainbow of colors is created from the application of 24k gold to the molten glass. An attractive information card trimmed in gold foil is included with your purchase. This charming figurine makes a thoughtful and unique gift too. Be sure to visit my profile for more information about my 35 years of glass blowing experience as I want you to feel confident about your purchase. I hope you will enjoy this work of art and the memories it represents for many years to come. Stork with baby bundle retails at specialty shops for $150.00.

I ordered this as a gift for a friend who is a retired obstetrician. I could not be more pleased with this piece - it’s even lovelier than pictured. I know that m7y friend will love it as much as I do.
